    Introduction

In 2013, FAO has announced that the dates production rate in the world was about 7.5 million tons, in1.1 million hectares of palm grove with an average yield of 6428 kilograms per hectare. Iran is the second largest producer of dates and it is ranked third in the world for the area under cultivation of dates.

The statistics of FAO trade in 2013, by FAO show that global trade of dates is 1.45 million tons. Iran produces about one million tons of dates, that’s why it is one of the largest producers of dates in the world and Sistan and Baluchestan is the third largest producer among the provinces of Iran. The 200000 tons of dates produced in Sistan and Baluchestan province are sold by inefficient traditional methods in the market.
