Chabahar joins World Free Zones Organization

World Free Zones Organization (World FZO) announced acceptance of Chabahar as a permanent member with voting right.

Chabahar can hereafter actively participate in decision making and events held by the World FZO with a right to vote, according to a letter from Dr. Samir Hamrouni, CEO of the organization, to CEO of Chabahar free zone in Iran Abdul-Rahim Kordi.

Dr. Hamrouni has also expressed hope that Chabahar free zone and the World FZO can have a united voice in the world working with other free zones around the globe.

The UAE-based World FZO consists of tens of free trade and special economic zones from around the globe, including European Union, Americas, and Asia.

Chabahar free zone is located on the coast of Oman Sea 645 kilometers west of Zahedan, capital city of Sistan-Baluchestan Province in southeast Iran.
