According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of Chabahar Free Zone, Abdul Rahim Kordi said in an interview with Tasnim: “the Chabahar Investment Opportunity Conference will be held on 18th and 19th January with the participation of Chabahar Free Zone and Sistan and Baluchestan Provincial Government along with more than 300 investors, investment groups, officials, ministers, parliamentarians and senior executives.
He added that about 100 investment packages in fisheries, agriculture, industry and mining, oil, gas and petrochemicals, tourism and transportation and transit panels will be unveiled at the conference, among which about half of them are Chabahar and its Free Zone investment capabilities, and the rest are about other cities of Sistan and Baluchestan.
Kordi stressed: "Our main goal of holding this conference, which is to become an annual event, is to identify the unique economic capacities of Sistan and Baluchistan and Chabahar for investors, in particular the domestic and foreign investors of Sistan and Baluchistan.
Managing director of Chabahar Free Zone continued: Investors from Iran and neighboring countries, which own the most of indigenous capital of Sistan and Baluchestan, participate in this conference and we offer them a diverse range of investment packages from food and petrochemical industry to steel and tourism, solar and new energies panels.
Kordi said: “We have tried to offer investment packages with comprehensive studies to investors in order to cover all aspects; we believe that in our current situation we should rely on domestic capacities and bringing in the capital and the local investors of Sistan and Baluchistan from the neighboring countries and the Gulf can be transformative and help the development Chabahar and Sistan and Baluchistan.
The managing director of Chabahar Free Zone noted that ‘this conference will be held in two days and covers: first, investigating the development perspectives of Chabahar and Sistan and Baluchestan, and the second part is the international exhibition of current investment opportunities of the province and Chabahar. The international conference is set to become an annual event.
