Oman ready to invest in Chabahar region

Oman's Ambassador to Iran Saud bin Ahmad Khalid al-Barwani said on Sunday that his country, especially its private sector, is ready for investment in Chabahar region of Iran.
The ambassador made the remarks in a meeting with the Managing Director of Chabahar Free Trade Zone Abdolrahim Kordi.
Expansion of economic and commercial cooperation between Iran and Oman can lead to the expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries, he said.
Chabahar is the best center for telecommunications, economic and trade exchange and can play a very significant role to this end, he said.
Grounds in Chabahar are to become well-prepared for expansion of tourism, trade and investment opportunities, Oman's ambassador said.
He also implemented phase two in Shahid Beheshti port along with Shahid Kalantari passenger terminal.
Managing director of Chabarh FTZ, for his part, highlighted economic and commercial capabilities and potentialities of the region and expressed the hope to play much active role in economic equations between Iran and Oman.
Chabahar is ready to play more share in industrial and agricultural investment in the region, Kordi said.
Oman's ambassador and his entourage visited commercial capabilities, transit routes, tourism region, Free Trade Zone and Chabahar coastline.
