Project introduction

Project title : Construction of Cosmetics Production Unit
Project Description :

The art of cosmetics has an ancient and fascinating history. The first evidence of makeup dates back to our prehistoric Neanderthal ancestors, who used red pigments to decorate the bones of the deceased and adorn their own faces and bodies. But it was the ancient Egyptians who truly pioneered the art of makeup and cosmetics.

Egyptian women were masters of self-adornment, using crushed red ochre to accentuate their lips and cheeks with a rosy glow. For darkening eyes and lining them dramatically, they turned to black kohl made from lead, manganese, and carbon compounds. Innovatively, the Egyptians were the first to employ green mineral pigments as eye shadows and to tint lashes and brows. By combining these primary colors with copper and iron oxides, they created new shades like turquoise and purple, expanding their cosmetic palette.

Adding white powders enabled the Egyptians to produce gradients from jet black to gray to pure white. Mixing in animal fats and oils gave their color products varying densities and the first true "cosmetics" with creamy, ointment-like textures. These included complexion creams based on horse milk and alabaster powder used to tone and polish the skin. Henna tinted hair, hands, and nails, while aromatic oils and butters protected and nourished.
